Will tells us how a bad first attempt at a novel – which is now languishing, unpublished, in a giant drawer – prompted him to strip back his writing process for his debut novel.
We discuss how he immersed himself in his book's setting, the mechanics of writing a suspense-filled murder mystery and how Will created a character that is a million miles away from himself.
Will also wins our on-going competition for the first draft completed in the quickest time – four weeks, written in his son's nap time – as well as our new contest, for most extreme/terrifying way of disposing of unwanted drafts. Want to find out how he does it..?
